Picking apart smart pricing...

Right now I have a skyscraper on the right side of my site. It was doing very well up until September until, like many people, revenues plummeted while other things remained constant or increased.

I'm thinking of adding another ad block and was wondering if you think in the smart pricing formula if it depends if I add it above the content or below it or in the middle?

Thanks for any advice!

Smart pricing has nothing to do with placement of the ad as far as I can tell. G actualy reccomends putting it in the center of the page. We had a lot of success on the left side.

Well it does to a certain extent. Here is how it can work, if the ads are put in such a position that the CTR is increased ( since they are now easily viewable by the viewers) then its better since you get more clicks. If we also assume that more clicks mean more conversions (on which smart pricing actually depends) then we can conclude that the positioning helped.

Same thing happened to me (plummeting revenues) but be careful before using a second block since greater clicks dont exactly mean more conversions and if you send in more clicks with fewer conversions you will only be getting cheaper EPC.

Too many factors, suggest you spend a day on these forums and read older threads with intersting topics. Take my word for it, it full value for your time and the amount of things that you get to learn is impossible to get from anywhere else.
