Repeaded Ads?

3 Ad units, getting same ads in 2 of the Ad units.

Hello there,

Yesterday, I put 3 Ad units to one my of WebPages. All 3 of them shows 4 ads each. But, in 2 Ad Units, I get a repeated Ad. For example "Ad A" is present in the 1st Unit. Then, the same "Ad A" is present in the 2 unit too. This happens most of the time.

Today I tried 2 Ad Units. But, same result.

Is this OK? or should I go back to 1 Ad Unit?

It's possible that two ads have the same wording and yet are placed by different people. It's also possible that one advertizer will run the same ad two or three times with lower bids on each ad, that could result in what you are seeing.

Unless you check the ads destination URL you can not be sure they are going to the same site.

I have seen repeated ads on my site several times. Yes, they have the same exact wording, including title. Yes, they both have the same URL and were leading to the same landing page (I didn't clicked!; just right clicked at the properties to see the URL). And yes, it was from the same advertiser (they don't run an affiliates program so couldn't be affiliates).

The first ad was in my first ad block, and the second ad was in the third ad block so possible maybe they run the same ad with different bids. As long as the adsense lords don't punish me for double serving ads (not my fault!), then I don't mind it.
