Google Ads Sometimes Not Being Displayed

Hello,

I've noticed today that sometimes ads are not being displayed on our Website. I have two ad units per page and sometimes one ad is displayed while the other one isn't. Sometimes both ads are displayed and sometimes both ads are not shown.

This never used to happen before so I just thought I'd ask to see if anyone else is experiencing the same behaviour. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

I have noticed it as well. I thought it was me at first, but some of my sites are showing correct ads. Lucky for me I found this wonderful site last week! :)

This happens when they run out of inventory I believe.

Now onto the non-showing ads.

Is there a possibilty that you specified the alternate bg color or the collapsing ad blocks feature for when there are no paying ads available?

I think it depends on your location and if you have clicked on those ads before.

you may not see them but other people do.

Or you may only see 1 or 2 but others see all 5.

Nope, I guarantee Adsense is having troubles, not inventory problems. On a number of pages I notice that my default ad will be shown, then a full rack of Adsense ads (meaning it's not an inventory problem).

Additionaly, the default display ad's numbers are 10x what they usually are already today, with still almost 8 hours in the day (as Google measures it) to go.

Thanks for all the responses. It helps to know that it wasn't just my site that was affected. I emailed Adwords support and they asked me to provide more information regarding the incident. When I received the email, however, the strange behaviour had already been fixed. I've been checking my site all night and it's back to normal.

I'd like to know if everyone else's site is now displaying the ads correctly.

ive been having troubles with new pages not showing ads when they should.........showing psa's instead of targeted

Adsense is totally not working. I've got several sites and the adsense ads are appearing very intermittently across all sites. Very inconsistent.

With the problems that authorizenet was having the past week with DDos attacks, I wonder if some of their spidering servers are also under an attack of the same sort.
