do we simply have the same ad code on the same page or we need to generate a special code? could not find it on the ad-setting page of google....

If you want the same style of ad unit you can just use the same code, of course if you want a different style of ad unit create a new code.

Some people also recommend using a channel for each position to be able to track how multi ads works for you.
