Ads by Goooooooooooogle

Anyone spotted the above with their ads? Kinda strange I think.

My vote, for what it is worth, is it really makes our site look unprofessional.

I've been seeing some of the "Ads by Goooooogle" replaced by the "Feedback - Ads by Google" link. I much prefer the ooooooo to the feedback. People notice the ooooooo's, then click on the ads. But I would bet that the CTR on the feedback link is several times higher when compared to either the "Ads by Google" or "Ads by Gooooooogle"

In theory, I would guess that they are running experiments, and hopefully keeping data, on increasing their revenue for adsense. Which, if successful, would mean increased revenue for publishers. Because they are seeing a much bigger sample than our individual web sites, as far as any of us know, the o’s may have increased their revenues a lot over the entire population of all the publisher’s pages combined.

If the above is correct, I hope they are _not_ doing to increase their revenues while decreasing the revenues of publishers. I doubt they are, but who knows.

I remember reading that MS hired psychologist to aid in designing the Windows interface’s default colors. Perhaps (G) is also doing something similar and testing the theories. I have seen Motorola also do stuff like that. Big companies can do some pretty strange and costly things to increse profits or market shares based on long term forcasts.

Actually we are seeing the old Ads by Google on some of our pages now, some still the Ads by Goooooogle type.

<This "oooooooooooo" really stinks, sucks, bites, blows >
Well in retrospect it kinda bites a bit but...
Im not crazy about the oooooooooos either , my point was why insult the Google people that created the idea.
If people don't like things they could just be a little more considerate of others, we've all had brainstorms that have turned out to be duds.
I,m 100 % certain the long Gooooooogle have caused a lower CTR because page views remain same and ctr has gone down ever since. So im no happy with it at all ,
I'm just hoping it ends soon.People trusted google results, expecting them to assume its the real Google is a bit of a stretch I think, most people are to negative, they will assume the worst, that its a cheap imitation , just look at the reaction of experienced webmasters thinking they had spyware, imagine wht the inexperienced public thinks.

Well I just wanted to amend my post. I,ve read a lot about Adsense on WW and apparently there are many reasons for the wild dynamics in Adsense as many a member have suggested.
So about the new branding thing, people seem to have gotten used to it.Doesnt look as good as Google but I'm sure I was wrong about the general publics reaction, cause my ctr seems fine again.EPC down sharply since August but from what i read that could very well be normal.
Apparently Adsense is still the most generous of the affiliate programs.

We've seen an overall 1.2% clickthrough rate increase since "ooooooo" was added. While the aesthetics aren't great - the extra cash is welcomed.

Cheers,
