Anyone spotted the above with their ads? Kinda strange I think.

fwiw, the CTR of 0 that i reported in msg #107 quickly returned to normal levels and even had a few days above average, so i think the users got used to it eventaually.

I wouldnt judge so fast.
It definitely doesnt stink, suck, bite, blow, or whatever adjective you prefer. I wouldnt judge so fast.

Google changed to "ooooooooooooooo" without giving possibility to opt out of it. This "oooooooooooo" really stinks, sucks, bites, blows and makes my websites look extremely unprofessionally what in long term could decrease number of readers and lower opinion about my websites.

It is bad, wrong, unprofessional and simply garish.

Google should at least make it possible to opt out of it, or otherwise Google's "Do no evil" principle is a joke.

If you don't like it, you *can* "opt out" ... just remove the AdSense code from your pages!

I'd imagine any potential ad-clicker who does any surfing at all understands by now that gooooooooogle or whatever means google.
As for making someones site look unprofessional,?
I dont get the motivation for this long 'test' though. Maybe preparing for a blitz of obnoxious tv commercials (a la e-bay?)

My thought is that they were hoping we would get use to it and let the thread die. We have commented about its unprofessionalism...the test continues :)

Do you think they are still testing? What do you think they have found? How do they know if there test numbers are an accurate indication of the extra oooo's or the extra ad units on peoples sites?

We may never know :)

The goal is to get people to click on "Ads by Gooooogle" and sign up for AdWords or AdSense. I would imagine that "Ads by Gooooogle" is a pretty good attention-getter, compared to "Ads by Google," and that it must be working! (And "Google" is already a silly, funny word. Is Gooooogle that much sillier?)

If that is true, why am I not receiving a commission cheque every month for everone that signs up with AdWords/AdSense from my site? I always felt that I should receive credit for any referrals but Google doesn't feel the same way.

Because it's their company, not yours, and they make the rules.
