How can I get 'real' adsense adds on my site? I put the adds on 5 days ago. I have content, I know adds "should" appear as people ARE bidding on my content....

I have links pointing to my site.

Advice?

So what exactly is the problem? Are you getting their standard un-targetted and more importanly unpaid ads or what?

You might need to learn about "stop words". If you use certain words in your text, like death or bomb, Google will not serve real ads. Without knowing more info, it's just a guess.

Has your site been crawled?

Wow quick replies! Thanks.

Yes the problem is the non paying ads wont go away.

I don't see any problem with stopwords......And it is being crawled daily by googlebot. Dunno about the adsense bot...

If you email Adsense theyll review your site again
and let you know.
I once had a page showed only PSAs for a week so I emailed them. They wernt specific (they need to protect trade secrets) but it turned out I did have content that triggered a filter,
I deleted one item and was back to normal.
Good Luck

And it is being crawled daily by googlebot.

That's good, but the bot that works with Adsense is Mediapartners-Google. Check your robots.txt file to make sure you aren't inadvertently disallowing it from spidering your pages.

Do you have any of the "bad" words, ie adult, alcohol, drugs, etc related?

Wow, alcohol. First time I have heard this one.
Do you think something like "drunken stupor" could be a stop-word? How about "jail"? "Incarceration"?

It looks like a person must be VERY careful, and totally aware of these words, and similar words.

Yes, I saw a thread the other day where "prison" or "jail" caused PSAs to appear. As I recall, the words were changed to "penitentiary" and everything was fine.
