I have a jewelry related site. Is adsense will be a better idea for generating revenue for my site.

Every site is different in terms of keywords, traffic, audience demographics, revenue goals, and other variables.

Fortunately, AdSense doesn't require a long-term commitment, so--if you're accepted into the network--you can simply run the code on your pages and remove it later on if the ads don't generate enough income to make you happy.

Go ahead--give it a try!

I actually like these specific category questions.

Here is what I would look at:

are you a merchant? (if you are selling your own stuff you will always make more money direct vs. any adsense or affiliate programs)

I have read here - people mixing adsense on the same page as AM (affiliate marketing) without a drop in AM revenue - as adsense is used as an exit link if the AM links are not of interest (I have not tried this yet)

It is all about EPC and value per page (CPM)
You can sign up and test adsense quickly - let it run for a week and look at the earnings vs. AM
Just make sure you "put" the adsense ads in a good / visible spot on your site to give it a fair try.
