Hi... I was new to the adsense thing and welp, I signed up and yup I clicked on my own ads though maybe 10-15 times at most. In fact I got a ton of clicks from my readers but only cuz I kind of encouraged them to... "hey if you see anything interesting from our fine sponsors please click!"

my deal is I got the boot and exhausted all plees for readmittance... so only now am I doing the proper research on this... is there any other text services that compare to google? and how do they determine that my clicks are valid? I checked out marketbanker but they only pay after 3 months... seems like in that time they could come up with some story about fraudulent clicks... or if some user I have goes crazy and clicks back and forth... oh man... I hate myself and I love google. why did they spank me so hard! can't they just reset me and track IP addresses or something to prevent me from being a dummyhead?

"why did they spank me so hard"

Probably because you cost a lot of advertisers money for clicks that weren't worth anything. When the ROI they provide to advertisers goes down, advertisers could pull out of advertising within the content network and this costs Google money - as well as endangers the Adsense network as a whole and the earnings of publishers utilizing it's services.

When you are encouraging others to click on your ads, it is a lot harder for Google to trace those fraudulent clicks, not to mention the time and manpower to audit your account. And yes, Google considers every one of those clicks you encouraged others to make as fraudulent, because chances are they never would have clicked other than to "support" your site.

Once you have been suspended for fraud, it is tough luck, you cannot get accepted again. You have already proven yourself to be participating in fraudulent behavior, why should they give you a second chance? The rules are spelled out clearly - do not click on your own ads, and do not encourage others to do so. If you did not follow the rules, you have no one but yourself to blame for getting suspended.

Imagine the immense loss of $ from the advertisers if every publisher were allowed to do this, even for only a week or two, were warned and re-admitted to AdSense. No advertisers would still be opted into content advertising if this was the case.

If you want to be an active publisher, follow the rules :)

You may want to try the advertising and affiliate programs forum for information on alternate sites to adsense:

I fully understand this... but why not just correct the improper clicks? deduct and give me a warning etc. why boot me.

Because there'd be no incentive for publishers to stay honest. It would be like stopping a shoplifter at the store exit, retrieving the stolen merchandise, and saying "Better luck next time."

why did they spank me so hard!

Trouble is, some people like a good spanking and they might come back for more (unless shown the door).

Try this search [google.com] for more information on alternatives.

Well I wouldn't be alone in thinking that you did nothing but steal from a system based on honesty. Google treats people as if they are good, but if you show otherwise, you are out. I can see if accidentally clicked one ad and were booted - that would be tough, but you actively try to cheat advertisers of money by breaking the rules. These are the same rules that allow the entire adsense program to work.

Also, I find your remorse a little shallow. You only appear to be remorseful for being caught and booted, but not for what you did. How much remorse did you feel when kept clicking the ads? Not much, or you would have stopped clicking, written to Google to admit what you had done and taken the consequences. If you weren't caught, I doubt that you would have stopped (you even want an IP block to stop you being tempted, not exactly encouraging).

As an advertiser and Web site operator, I would be glad if you are never allowed back in. You could have stolen from me as an advertiser or you could have lost clicks from my site by fraudulently using up an advertiser's budget before my sites had a chance to provide genuine clicks.

Learn from your lesson. Next time you get accepted into an affiliate, banner network or other contextual advertising programs, behave :o)

It's a pity that you lost your Adsense account without even realizing its full revenue potential for your site, but that's the way it goes. Don't play by the rules, they kick you out. And there's no coming back
