Do publishers get paid when someone searchs from our web site or do we only get paid if someone clicks on a link(does it have to be a sponsered advertiser link?) after they make a search?

You only get paid when a visitor clicks one of the Adwords ads.

On the average, I think most of us get a lower EPC in websearch, but you can't beat that CTR.

Hey Jenstar, so do you mean the paid ad's that are listed at the top of the page after a search is done? We don't get paid at all for any of the other links below that are not paid advertisers?
Also, what does channeling mean and do?

Read the AdSense program policies and FAQ. If you need further clarification, your safest bet is to get the information directly from the horse's mouth by e-mailing AdSense Support.
