I know if I remove the code from my site, its removed. But how can I delete it from my adsense account? does it anywat against TOC if once added and then removed? By the way I am not earning much from it and my site is not that big.
But then can I just keep it without using it on my site?
But if you still want it disabled, go in your account, click "account settings" then "products" then "edit information" and make the change.
Umm, I don't think so.
You cannot "unsubscribe" from adsense search. You can click on "Edit" on that products page, but you are unable to change the setting for websearch.
You can remove all code from your site so it is not used, but you cannot unsubscribe from the program. I am not sure what all the talk about approval process is and how it relates to not wanting websearch on your adsense account.
I contacted them about this when I wanted to switch to a different search engine.
They said as long as you're not using both Websearch AND another search you're OK. Their comment was just to remove the Websearch code and not worry about trying to "unsubscribe" - which is just as well as there IS no way to "unsubscribe"!
