I have 2 questions that I am hoping that someone might be able to answer....

1. Is it amounts over $10,000 from adsense that are sent by fedex? and does that apply to the UK.

2.Does anyone know if you have to sign for the fedex deliveries in the uk.

I usually just give the Fedex lady $1000 tip and ask her to bring it around to the jacuzzi, or if I'm not home to slip it through the sunroof of the Ferrari. ;)

Sense_able - have it sent to me - I'll sign for it. I'll even wait by the door.

I've never had a check from AdSense for $10k, and I likely never will - but that would be a logical figure at which to start looking for delivery signatures... $10k is the point at which transactions have to be reported to the IRS here in the US. If it were a bank transfer the bank would have to report it but given it's a check they'd have to look for additional ways to prove that you received it - and a delivery signature would be another way in which to do that.

I have no idea if that applies to the UK though. If you're not a US person (citizen or resident) then you won't have to pay taxes here, but I would assume that Google would still need to report that it was sent.. so it would be logical to assume that it applies globally at the $10k mark.

That said, I have no idea for sure because I know of nobody that has received such a large check for AdSense.

Fedex must get your signature. If you were not at home at delivery, they would leave a note at your door and ask you to either reschedule a delivery time or instruct them to just slip it in your mail box without sigature, actually you have given them your signature on the note. So when they see the note the next day, the fedex will be in your mail box. This is what should be in the US.

where can I find the item that G will deliver check > 10k by fedex?

Many thanks for the advice....

Yes I would think the beers should be on me... I have been fiddling, and fiddling and building and then building some more and the revenue has been creeping up each month.

If stats seem to get low then I just get building to compensate....

The FedEx airbill has a blank called "Release Signature" where the shipper can authorize delivery without obtaining a signature from the recipient.

Alternatively, you can sign a blanket release form at your FedEx office that lets FedEx deliver shipments without a signature. (FedEx used to supply a little sticker that you could paste up on your doorjamb to show the FedEx delivery person that you'd signed the blanket release form; I don't know if this is still required.)

Google definitely does do this. It isn't on the AdSense site though, but you could probably email to ask. I know they do FedEx to the US, Canada and the UK, although I am not sure about other countries.

They do occassionally FedEx for lower amounts, but just when there is a delivery issue.
