I received a little pamphlet in the mail today trying to convince adword advertisers to become adsense publishers also.

Something about a $25 rebate in adwords if I opened an adsense account using the same email as my adwords account.

I wonder if that inspires confidence among advertisers?

I thought about that too EFV. That might be a secondary objective.

There could very well be a great upside to this. If more advertizers became personally aware of the publishers experience maybe Google will take the publishers perspective more seriously.

Looks like they upgraded their systems...iirc, last year they couldn't handle users signing up for Adsense and Adwords with the same email address.

I was able to sign up using both addresses last year. They were having a problem with it for a time though.

It is an interesting way to get new publishers, maybe I should have held out signing up so I could have gotten that $25 rebate now ;)

kind of odd. most adwords advertisers are as such because they don't have the ability to draw traffic organically, or they are astute individuals who have already figured out to some extent how to draw leads, in which case they may already be running adsense or have made the decision not to.

You can find Google's special offer here:

[services.google.com...]

(Hope it's all right to post this URL here)

I wonder who will be paying for these rebates?

Will it be Google as part of their advertising expenditure?

Or will it be us through lower EPC?
