Out of sync reports

'This Month' has more updates stats than 'Today'?

I am sure other people have noticed this aspect of the Adsense reports: you log in and select 'Today' for the report. It shows some stats, but when you switch to the Month view, it has more updated numbers for 'today'. It is not a caching issue and it happens frequently throughout the week. Does anyone had an idea as to why this happens? I would have thought that the month report would always be behind or the same as 'Today' - but ahead? It can be this way for several hours, but mostly the difference lasts about an hour or less.

No idea why but it's been noticed and reported some time back. It seems to occur when the stats are updated more often throughout the day.

This used to be a quite common way to get a sneak peek at stats, but it hasn't been working as well lately.
