I'm Showing a 'Subtle' Reminder from Google

After adding AdSense to a few sites 2 weeks ago, I'm quickly learning that it doesn't like news. But, instead of listing 4 charities on the pages (as it did before), this morning it is showing the full skyscraper outline in blue, no ad contents, with the words at the top:

"This Blank Space Provided by Google"

I think the news of a certain basketball player prompted this, but Google doesn't have to hit me over the head with a stick to let me know they don't want their code there.

On the other hand, Adsense LOVES my "Andy Griffith Show" article...

I just noticed this...on one of my pages, i get this This blank space brought to you by Google in the place of Ads By Google....
And in the place of 4 ads, I get completly Blank space as Google specifically says at the top! ;)
Is it Google sticking to its words or the Technology?

Google getting naughty? what the heck, Playing pranks!? Pls give me a break!
