Most of the webmasters think the CTR will reduce.
It will be good to see who will win.
PS : My biggest problem is that I changed the colors of the ads as well.
Now I have two factors influencing my CTR, colors and related searches. So it will be difficult to track which has influenced the CTR more :(
mine is down by 40%.It is a lower CTR for this time of day than it EVER has been.
Ditto and ditto.
I'm still seeing the usual ads on my pages, so I don't think it's the "Related searches" link in the AdSense box border. Something else must be going on.
Click through seems to have *gone up* because the rest of the page views have extremely good adverts.
I'm going to watch this for a week or two and figure out what to do.
Once banner blindness sets in again, I predict revenue will drop to LESS than it was before "Related Searches", because many users will be diverted to Google SERPs.
Tom
Today, so far, the click-through rate is nearly the same. So I'm still doing OK. Still too early to tell, and analysis is confounded: two variables are in play: links and a slight color change to the ad. There may be more people looking at them, but many are siphoned off to the links, but from here it just looks like business as usual. Need more time.
Right now, we are already in the process to remove the codes from some pages because the keywords shown in "related search" have interest conflict with our content. We do not want our potential competitors showing up on our site.
Dillon / Rest,a) Whats the format you're running?
b) What was your general PSA / NON PSA Ratio?
c) How many blocks of related searches are you seeing?
a) Skyscraper ads
b) never had PSA's since the first day or so
c) Just 1 at the bottom
I havent altered the colour either.
It will be difficult to know what has caused my drop in CTR as I have added a whole bunch of new pages to my sites and page impressions are way up, even though CTR is down.
Biggest "before 12:00 noon" drop. It may or may not improve throughout the day. However, over the past 30+ days in the AdSense program, I have been able to predict a days total revenue within $25 by the 12:00-1:00pm stats.
I agree with EFV observations: I am getting ads, no PSA's, no blank boxes...at least not a major scale.
Something else does seem to be going on?
Revenue/CPC is way up .. about 50% over usual .. looking like my best rev day ever.
I think its due to the new color selection capabilities .. plus I did some other redesigns .. so still too many variables to know if the "related links" are damaging to my concerns .. but so far I'm kinda, well, happy with G/A today. - Oh great, now there I went and jinxed it ..
But what I really don't understand is, that my earnings per click went down 30% compared to my first day, and today another 50%! Did you experience something similar your first days, or yesterday?

CTR with 30% or 50%? Are you sure you are getting the numbers right?
And what numbers of impressions do you have? 5 or 6 daily?
I can't believe such CTR.
