Account disabled -> check

Hello,

A few days ago, my adsense account got disabled cause of invalid clicks.

Now today, I got a check by mail. It's my first.

Can I go with that check to my bank (in Belgium) and still let them put the money on my account?

I don't know if there is a risk that I have to give the money back to google, now my account is disabled.

So can I just take the money or isn't this possible anymore because my acount is disabled?

You appear to have two options:

1 Don't cash the cheque and return it to G
2 Cash the cheque. Don't spend the money until it has/if cleared. If it clears spend it

I don't understand: if what has cleared?

Clear means giving enough time for the check to be returned by Google's bank. In my humble opinion, if they sent the check, the money is yours. I just would not expect any more checks from them.

Ok, I mailed to the google adsense support.

I know, I don't think I'll receive anymore checks from google, but I must be sure what to do with this one, before I go and cash it.

When I cash It I lose about 20->25 €'s, so _if_ eventually I must return the cheque, I lose that 25 euro's.

Cash the check! They sent it, it's yours. If there's a problem in the future, which I greatly doubt, they will contact you.

However, this month's earnings are lost.

If there is a risk for losing money, even if it's 25 €, I don't want to take it.

they sent you a check, didn't they? if they did not approve the payment, that check would have been withheld and not sent to you. but since you went ahead and reminded them about it, they might change their mind now :o(

so just wait for their response. no amount of talk from us would convince you anyway. simply wait for the official response

I really do hope that you get your money, but if 25 euros is too much for you to lose on the gamble of cashing the cheque then you shouldn't bother in the first place. If 'fairness' was your primary concern though then why bother asking the members of this forum in the first place?

I posted at this forum if anyone here has experienced something like this before.
And to lose 25€'s ore to lose 0€'s does make a difference to me.

But anyhow,

Today I received an e-mail from google.

They thank me for my inquiry and that it's okay to deposit the check.

Imagine emailing Google to ask them if it's OK to deposit the check they sent you. Hans, I don't know what the invalid clicks thing was about, but you're the kind of person Google should want more of in their program. :-)
