I got the May check today and I am preparing the deposit slip to deposit at the bank tomorrow, but something just ocurred to me. Would it be possible to estimate the number of publishers getting a check every month by substracting the April check number from the May one?

I understand that it would undercount those not getting paid this month, and batches are probably non sequential, but the number seems plausible.

hmm you never know... it would work if we were talking about my check book. You would probally get a rough estimate.

Interesting idea - I guess if we were all getting roughly the same number then it probably works.

I wonder if posting it would break the Terms and Conditions. Probably!

Seems a bit less than I'd have expected - but plausible nevertheless.

If the check numbers were ONLY issued for paying AdSense publishers, and if they were always done in the same order, then you could tell how many publishers got a check. That doesn't take into the issue of checks issued to different countries (are they drawn on the same account, and are the numbers in-step with each other or independent of each other).

I would guess that the majority of sites that actually have AdSense ads running on them don't qualify for a monthly check though.
