So they mail the non-U.S. ones first. That's a nice touch....

Many people in the US should get theirs today. I got mine yesterday.

There is no reason why they should mail the US ones first.

That said, the first "check has arrived" reporting day usually has both US and non-US countries reporting, it just happens that someone in the UK starts the day earlier than someone in the US ;) Last month, the first check sighting day included those from the UK, Canada & the US.

Jenstar, I wasn't saying they shouldn't mail non-US ones first. But if the checks arrive on the same day in the US and in other countries that says to me that they DO mail the non-US ones first, so that they won't arrive later. If this is their policy it's distinctly different from that of, say, A*m***n, where the foreign affiliates are still reporting getting theirs two weeks after everyone else....

Are you assuming they are all mailed from the U.S., or are you assuming the USPS is faster than every other postal service in the world when mailed locally?

I'm assuming they are all mailed from the US. Those of you elsewhere, where are your checks/cheques postmarked?

(I'm certainly not assuming that the USPS is faster than every other mail service in the world when posted locally. In my personal experience it's somewhere in the middle--the UK is faster, Italy slower.)

Fed-ex'd, yes. But not because its faster, because there is tracking. They don't necessarily send them at the same time.

Checks are mailed from New York City, which is a major USPS hub for international mail. If it was mailed from Smalltown, USA, it would take an extra couple of days for internationals to receive them.
