We have a technology site, does some reasonable impressions and earns a good amount from AdSense. Seems those ads are quite valuable. Anyway, for the last month and a half, all has been going well, with some steady growth.
As of Tue 20th July however, our revenue has approximately halved. This is a marked change, and one that is not expected. No changes have been made to the site - apart from daily new content that we have been adding since the site opened over 12 months ago.
Has anyone else experienced a drop like this, in a similar vertical, or other?
We are not aware of any service changes etc...
please can someone who makes over $20K per month from non-seasonal AdSence chime in
Someone making that type of money in Adsense is unlikely to admit it here.
We don't. But Adsense has been holding up well this month. There are regular threads of sharp EPC drops, sharp CTR drops etc but many of these can be explained by seasonal factors, big advertisers taking an ad break, big ad campaigns by one of your main advertisers coming to an end etc.
In almost every thread that some people complained of falling earnings others have piped in to say they are doing very well, thank you. And, as we don't know how big these sites are in terms of page views or Adsense earnings we can't draw any conclusions about the Adsense program from their anecdotal reports of earnings drops/increases - a point percentages touched on.
There have been one or two major drops pretty much across the board ...like on April 1st this year, October 14th last year (introduction of broad matching) etc. But even these did not affect everybody. Some reported improved earnings after those "milestone" dates.
