Unusually High CTR

Normal CTR Less Than Half Of What Yesterday Was

I have been running AdSense on a site for the past couple of months and have seen my CTR always be +/- 1% of the average. The CTR Yesterday was over 2 times the normal rate (which is a reasonable variation). Should I be concerned that someone is trying to get me banned by clicking repeatedly or is this something normal that I can expect to see once in a while?

I got Adsense from june 2003 and I see the same today. I make some tens of thousands impresssions daily and all figures are very stable but today.

I'll wait for the final stats (tomorrow) and even a week or so. I'm not really nervous; I simply hope these figures become normal.

yah something odd is going on today - showing normal dollar figures but 1/2 normal impressions therefore double normal CPM

There has been some very slow reporting for the last 4 days and today impressions are very behind.

Yes, I noticed that my numbers were way up today. I was trying not to be concerned (I guess some of the stories on this board have made me paranoid).

Glad to know I'm not the only one. Hope the good numbers stick. That'd be nice!

Almost choked on my weetabix when I saw yesterday's ctr....Then I saw the impressions and realised the sky high click through rate must be due to a reporting lag.

Yeah... CTR is unusually higher for Spanish language ads, too.

saw the same thing myself. ctr was 2.5 times normal. Glad to see this is widespread and not just me.

Wednesday stats (each category) were the highest for me by 30-40%. Makes me very nervous.

Good nice to know. I freaked out when I saw a really high CTR. Earnings were about normal. Do you think that earnings are correct. I have never seen my earnings go up after 8am CST for the previous day.

Same 'problem' here. CTR is highest ever, but CTR in general has gone way up this month, it has almost doubled. I think this is because better targetted ads have become available for my topic.

I was worried as it was very high and emailed them. they said, :..my account in good standing". Now I see yesterday's stats more in line.
This drives me batty. I sometimes wish they would update only once per day. Help keep my sanity.:^0
