Using Adsense as Burst default - how to prevent multiples?

As I understand it you're not allowed to show 2 Adsense ads on the same page. I have a page with space for skyscraper and leaderboard ads on, and am currently using Burst. I'd like to redirect the defaults to adsense, but this could mean I display 2 ads. Is there a standard way to go about doing this?

You can't use Adsense as a Burst redirect in 2 creative formats. Otherwise, you run the risk of displaying 2 Adsense in your pages, which as you well know is against TOS. Select only 1 format where you will use Adsense as a redirect, then use other ad networks or affiliate ads as your redirect for the other ad.

I'm not sure though why you want Burst --> Adsense, when Adsense beat Burst hands down in terms of effective CPM for many sites. My Adsense ECPM is 30X greater than the ones we get for Burst, so it is unthinkable for us to redirect Adsense from Burst. Unless you have one of those sites that really do not work well for Adsense, I would suggest you try Adsense --> Burst redirect instead of the other way around

Horses for courses. With me it was the other way about althought he figures were more like 2-3 times.

The key is to find out which brings the best results before deciding which goes first. The first should always be the one that brings the highest effective CPM. If Adsense, then it should be Adsense --> Burst. If Burst, then Burst --> Adsense. But he needs to try it out first to see which works better for the site

I just was at a site (the daily star) that runs THREE sets of 'ads by google' adsense ads, and there are duplications. Even for 'premium' members that seems a bit much.
