How to SEO on B and target Adsense on A?

I have a directory type site with a topic hierarchy A->B. The rather general topic A is performing very well with Adsense. But it's mostly the specific subtopic B that gets many visitors from search engines. Unfortunately, Adsense is showing rather poor performing ads on B.

What I'd like to do is:
1) SEO page B for B-related keywords to get many visitors.
2) Put 'hints' on page B that it's actually a subtopic of A, so that Adsense will show the well-performing A-ads (which is perfectly reasonable).

My question is: what can I put on page B that will attrack A-ads from Adsense, but won't interfere with the SEO for B?

E.g. I cannot just change B in the title to some form of A, as this will damage the SEO for B. I already have bread crumbs on B, so the word A already appears once as anchor text. But for some reason, Adsense doesn't always notice my A like it notices rice in Condoleezza.
