Can I have an adsense ad without a border?

On a new site I am doing I am planning to put adsense on a page with a white background and leave the adsense background and border also white...essentially leaving it so only the text appears.

I've been browsing through the Adsense FAQs and policies and couldn't find anything saying I can't do this. Am I missing something, or is this allowed? I know that I've seen this on other sites before but want to make sure that I am within Google's guidelines.

Yes, that's allowed. Use the custom color selection tool on the adsense settings tool to get the desired result.
