As most of you know Google will not allow you to change the name on your account. After asking Google what I need to do, they initially told me to cancel my existing account and then sign up for a new one under my corporation's name. The problem is, I'd stand to lose a lot of money during the time between cancelling my exisiting account and waiting for the new one to get approved.
After emailing Google's support team, they told me that it is ok to have one personal account and one account owned by a corporation. Here is an excerpt from that email:
"Publishers may retain separate business and personal AdSense accounts. For tax purposes, we require that all publishers are at least 18 years of age, and that each account includes unique tax payer information. For example, if you have a personal AdSense account using your social security number, you may also have an account for your business as long as the business account includes a unique U.S. Tax ID number. "
It took me a few emails back and forth with Adsense before they gave me this information so I wanted to pass this along.
For anyone that wants to filter their income through a corporation, you can do it without losing a few days income and without violating their terms.
Now I just need to figure out how to claim the boat I'm going to buy (with adsense money!) is a 'business expense'. Anyone have any ideas? :-)
