Yesterday a virus/trojan/whatever showed up on web servers, which added a javascript hack to every webpage served. Anyone visiting with Internet Explorer browser and javascript enabled got a secret download that attempts to install keystroke monitors, backdoors, etc... for a Russian outfit.

All day sysadmins and others have been advising the world to turn off Javascript, since there is no patch available from Microsoft and no other way to protect yourself. Infected websites include major consumer sites, as well as corporations large and small.

If they trun off Javascript they turn off your AdSense ads. That is "off" as in ZERO ADS SERVED and ZERO ADS CLICKED.

Is anyone noticing any such effect?

I've not noticed any decline, also I don't believe that this would effect linux servers, where did you hear about this?
