If you've uploaded a logo for your WebSearch pages, you have access to the web server logs for that image file and the logs record the HTTP_REFERER, you can track what queries were performed. Thanks to the sitesearch=<domain.tld> query string parameter, you can also track whether the queries were internal or full web.

Does anyone have stats to share for the ratio of internal to full web searches being experienced on their sites? If so, it might be interesting to see the range being experienced and whether different types of sites have different behavior. For example, ecommerce sites, pure affiliate sites, product/service review sites, information sites, etc. I'd share, but I haven't made WebSearch live on my sites for a number of reasons so I'm the only one who has done searches on them.

And in case anyone was wondering, I have not clicked any of the ads. I just tested to see how WebSearch worked. As today is my one year anniversary as an AdSense publisher I know there are some things good little publishers just don't do. :-)
