Customizing WebSearch

What can we and can't we do?

Has anyone noticed a way to NOT have the Google logo next to the text input field on the search? I know you can have your logo at the top of the search results page - but I'd like to use WebSearch for the complete search on one of my sites but I'd prefer to have no logo or at worst my logo next to the search box. Anyone know if this is possible?

I also sent an email to the Adsense team asking if I could reduce the length of the text box.

What other customizations (besides palette etc) can we do or do we want to do?

You'll have to read the other threads on this page. You can reduce the length of the box, but it needs personal approval in writing. See my thread "Clarification Received etc"

I suspect you'd be asking too much not to have the Google logo on the websearch. After all, even AdSense has "Ads by Google" on it. Surely it's fair enough to recognise who is providing the service?

I'm actually having the exact same problem...

Was hoping to use WebSearch for my sites main search engine, but since search is a pretty integral part of my site, and even though Google's a reputable company, and I have no problem linking to them or displaying their logo, when I put it on my site, it made it seem like the search on my site was kind of an ad and just a regular Google search, rather than a real site search...

PFOnline> Bingo. You hit the jackpot. That's Google's price for providing PPC search on your site. (Aside from the revenue take).

What I want for the WebSearch is to be able to customise the results page much more.

I would like them to integrate a blogger-like template system, so that I can add header and footer code to the page to make it exactly fit the look and feel of my site.

This is how the Atomz serach templates work and as I mentioned, Google use this technique with blogger so it shouldnt be too much problem to integrate something similar here.
