EPC Wayyyyy down today

Monday and today my EPC was about 1/4 of what is was on Sunday and prior days/weeks. My EPC is usually pretty favorable...Looks like another BLACK Monday. Anyone else seeing this?

Targeting is much better today as well (CTR up), will double my income today.

You can't draw any conclusions from just one day. You should wait at least a week before worrying about it.

Further, there are any number of reasons Adsense earning will vary (both up and down) on a specific site, including, but not limit to, the following:

* Existing Adword advertiser meeting budget for the month and dropping out until next month.
* Existing Adword advertiser adjusting their CPC (up or down).
* Existing Adword advertiser dropping “content” sites from their campaigns.
* Appropriate targeted ad inventory become depleted triggering more PSAs.
* New advertiser joins Adword program.
* Your users profile and demographics change.
* Your website topic is of seasonal interest.
* You add or delete content.
* You change the Adsense ad format, color, etc.
* Your page views increase or decrease due to good/bad promotion, PR, linking, search engine position, etc.
* Google changes the programs payout formula.
* Google changes the targeting algorithm.
* Ad apathy sets in with your site users.
* Adsense ads are rotating, not static
* CPC for these ads under the same topic can vary up to 1000% (example: 10 cents from bottom ad to a top ad of $1.00)

I'm guessing mine is way up too. So far up, in fact, that the folks at the plex are going through my clicks one at a time. And then they're calling the folks that clicked to verify that they are humans doing the clicking. And then they are calling the relatives of the clickers to make sure they don't know me in some way. And then they're checking the backgrounds of the relatives of the clickers to make sure no skeletons are there. And then they have the FBI check the checkers of the relatives of the clickers.....;)

For the last 4 or so days, my click through rate has doubled, but my earnings have been cut in half.

I love it when you all complain, because each time you do it, my earnings go up 300%. I hope it stays so... :-)
