Does anyone know how Adsense and SafeSearch interact? I recently discovered that Google had declared a few of my pages unsafe—they touch on Victorian translations of the Kama Sutra, but have neither indecent words nor pictures. Anyway, being unsafe hasn't hurt my rankings: I'm still #1 with the majority who don't have SafeSearch on, and the "contagion" doesn't seem to be passed to other parts of my sites. But these do now seem to show nothing but PSAs.
Does Google stop AdSense ads from running on pages in the SafeSearch exclusion list? Does it depend on the advertiser? Finally, what is the best way to fight this? Are changes enough, or should I send a letter?
