Google really cuts the earnings?

I've read some post about a heavy drop in earnings and I think that maybe a red line where the earnings are reduced by Google (same visitors, same CTR: half CPM).

If there is a trigger, do you think it could be...
A. 1.- 10.000 pageviews/day
2.- 50.000 pageviews/day
3.- 100.000 pageviews/day
4.- 250.000 pageviews/day

B. 1.- CPM 1$
2.- CPM 5$
3.- CPM 10$
4.- CPM 20$

C. 1.- CTR 2%
2.- CTR 5%
3.- CTR 10%
4.- CTR 15%
