AdSense is learning that reassurance works...

They are learning to give us a little bit of reassurance now about whether or not ads and earnings are affected or not. The default AdSense page redirects to [google.com...] and states:

AdSense Unavailable
The AdSense website is temporarily unavailable while we perform routine maintenance. Please check back again soon.
Ad serving and reporting are not being affected in any way.

Wonder if there will be anything new when it goes back online ;)

Actually this doesn't say anything about earnings not being affected.

lol ken, u mean to say that while they will serve ads and report them properly, the only thing that actually matters, i.e. earnings will get affected? gimme a break, and give G some credit.

Whiz...

Nope, that's not what I said at all.

I just pointed out that the quote didn't mention earnings not being affected.

Hopefully they're trying to find the 40% of revenue that dropped off my site this month ;) heh

Reporting isn't reporting if you can't see the reports. Currently, that is being affected. Gettin' lots of work done with all this free time, however.:)

This seems to be rather a long one though doesn't it?

Jenstar, when you say ";)" in your first post, it seems as though you know something....

I just noticed on my adsense listings that the "www.adwordsadvertiser.com" links are not visible, just the ad text.

These are the same adds that were serving on my site before the big "targeted advertising" upheaval...when commissions were better. Not that I am getting my hopes up, but...maybe it is a sign :)
