Ok, if anyone has a logical reason for this, please explain.

There is a site that I came across, running 2-3 sometimes 4 adsense banners on a page.

Above every ad unit, there is text that says:
Please support our site and click a link below.

Asks you to submit your code to them to put on thier site, then come back and click on others code so "everyone will make money off of thier own ads."

Has somehow removed the "ads by google" link from the ads.

This makes no sense to me at all!

There is a problem with AdSense not generating banner ads properly, which eliminates the "Ads by Google".

[webmasterworld.com...] msg # 10

I don't think they are blind, but AdSense can't police every site/page all the time. Every site does undergo a quality check, but it could have been done after the check, or the check hasn't occured yet. Otherwise, AdSense only checks when there is a complaint about a specific site.

They were notified.

good move to report them. it's publishers like this that reduces the value of legitimate clicks which hurts all of us. thanks.

i agree very good move to report them, such "publishers" hurt everyone right from the advertiser, to Googles reputation and even us.

How do we report to google of such sites which have more than one adsense ad unit on the same page?

[google.com...] would be a good start (imo)

I am surprised that they don't seem to have an automated system picking up mulitple instances of Adsense on the same page.

If they do then I'm surprised they don't filter out premium partners and send the others an automated email warning.

Ganderla,
What did you see on these ad units in a site with the multi-ad formats? Are they repeated ads, ads w/ the same themes or ads w/ multi-matches?

They differ. Right now there are 3 banners 2 with the same ads and 1 is different.
I can't belive they were reported over a week ago and they are still up.

I think multiple ad boxes on each page is considered okay now. Still, the "click below to support our site" definitely DOES violate Google TOS.

I'm sure Jenstar can shed some light but AFAIK only premium partners could have multiple boxes. But they have made several changes to the program... and do bring out a new TOS every week ... so you may be right!

I think there will be some very long threads in this forum if we are finally allowed to put more than one ad box on a page.

Hope you are right but I am sticking to the one until I receive an email from G.

we are allowed multiple units on the same page but we are not allowed to show the same ad on the same page which means we are not allowed multiple ad units on the same page.

and if that makes sense to you, sticky me with an explanation as it sure as hell doesn't make sense to me.

but hey, G's explanation that "we only want to change the terms and conditions once a quarter" was an even bigger riot!

Maybe I should start a new thread but this seems to fit. <snip>

The auction is over, but this guy's web sites are still showing AdSense ads. I'm not sure what is more unbelievable, that Google hasn't shut this guy down or that this guy thinks he can get away with promoting such a scheme publicly on ebay!

I reported the site to google. I certainly hope they were banned due to the report.

Telling users to click on your ads so they can make money is really dumb.

Hmmm, <snip>, but I bookmarked his sites and he still has AdSense running on them.

Reminder: No specifics that will lead anyone to a specific publisher's site, as per the WebmasterWorld TOS [webmasterworld.com]

No, multiple ad units are not yet allowed - AdSenseAdvisor also confirmed that last week in this forum.
