I am wondering if there could be any logical explanation of why adsense would display a PSA at mysite.com/ (the more important page) and the proper targeted links at mysite.com/index.php?

I have done some looking in my log files at media partners googlebot activity. It appears that perhaps the bot came to mysite.com/ at a time when the page wasn't completely "up" or "optimized" and when I was still messing with it. Perhaps it came to /index.php when it WAS completely optimized.

This is frustrating and I guess the question I would ask to any who may have similar situations or have had them in the past - how do you incite media-partners googlebot to come back and re-evaluate the content on a page it has already been to?

I know it is quite easy to get it to come to a page that is new, you just click refresh, etc.

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Change the ad format (ie. from a banner to a leaderboard) and wait for the mediabot to visit, then change it back again. Changing the ad format will trigger a mediabot visit to the page for re-indexing the content.
