Using channels in "creative" ways

Can we use AdSense channels to report on more than what pages make money?

Does anyone know whether Google cares about how you use channels?

The intended, and no doubt best, use is to figure out what pages are making money and which aren't. I did this (and was in for a surprise). But with some creative scripting there's no reason you couldn't have a given page serve different channel codes, tracking track time of day, entry page, ip location, membership status, browser version, search term they entered on—anything knowable—so long as it can be split into 20 or fewer channels.

So, two questions: (1) Would Google disapprove? (2) If no, what do you think is worth tracking?

Extension: With some elegant programming, you could figure out how more than 20 "virtual channels" mapped to revenue, whether the channels represented URLs or not.

To preempt on objection: Google says you may not fool with the scripts they provide. My proposal does not. It fools with *which* of these pristine, un-fooled scripts are provided by my page...
