google mutual non disclosure agrrement

i just applied for the google domain park program and i was asked to fax them a mutual non disclosure agreement.

anyone has a clue what this is needed for?

So you can't post here talking about the details of the deal, and so they can't talk about your domain to others outside the company.

they sent me the agreement.
never seen any online company do that.
google is being extra professional.

I'd have put that more like "extra paranoid" ......I can't see why a contract which is so widespread ( ie; google signs the thing with probably millions of people..needs this ).....

Hehe ..couple of thoughts ...

Does mentioning the thing here put you in breach of its terms ....

Can you talk in your sleep without running foul of it ....

Wjhat do they get to do to you if you don't respect it?

They sent the agreement probably because it has the terms they want in it. They also don't want to read and negotiate thousands of these things.

There's no way to violate an agreement that you haven't signed by talking about it here (or anywhere for that matter). You just can't make any warranty about not having previously discussed its contents if you do sign it.
