Tons of clicks not tracked by channels?

I have activated channel codes on every page, but there is some 30% difference between the channel revenue and non-channel revenue. What could be the reason? Could someone grab my code and use it on his site? Sound bizarre, but it's a possibility.

I'm glad you brought this up, I notice the same thing with my channels. Maybe Google gives away free bonus money ;-)

Not sure what it could be. I haven't really gone back to double check and make sure all pages have ads, although as far as I know they all do.

It may be that channel data is not always recorded properly, there must be a margin of error. As long as earnings are recorded properly, though, it's not really an issue for me other than just curiousity as to why it happens.

Google's channel data lags behind its aggregate data, seemingly by about two days. Presumably this is to keep publishers from tracking ad performance more closely than Google prefers.

My experience is that the channel and aggregate numbers are invariably extremely close - i.e. certainly within a percent or so. Unfortunately I can't balance to the penny because I have a few pages without channel codes.

If these are numbers from the first day or two you've used channels, it may be that people are still displaying cached versions of your pages.

Check to make sure you have added the channels code to every page on your site, several missed pages could be the reason. Other than that, a big delay...

I have noticed this on my web sites too. I could have missed a few pages when adding the channels but I've checked through the sites extensively and don't feel this is the cause.

Mine is somewhere in the region of 5-15% of revenue depending on the day.
