Checking for ad relevancy...

How many pages do you check for ad relevancy?

All this talk about ads being mistargeted has me wondering about how many pages publishers check for relevancy.

I have Adsense on somewhere around 1,200 pages. I check about 50 - 60 pages.

I only have a couple hundred pages, but trends are spotted, and I guess you could use channels to check on different areas.

The less relevant the better IMO - as long as they are not what they should be as this brings in not enough $$$ - guess you have to balance it out with number of clicks going down dramatically though...

none, unless I happen to already be browsing/updating my pages.

I figure, as long as the revenue keeps going up or stays steady, I'll trust them to do their thing and I'll do mine.

If I saw a sharp decline yet, I might get concerned.

I only have about 100 pages of content. I never used to check things. Now I try to once or twice a month. There are certain pages for which the targeting is horrible.

I tried to get the targeting better by using the URL filter but there seems to be an inexhaustable supply of mistargeted ads. Just yesterday I finally took Ad Sense off some pages and placed some Ad Sonar ads. While at times the Ad Sonar ads are still somewhat off target (probably because the keywords are somewhat obscure) for my purposes they seem to be less off target than Ad Sense on these pages.

I guess my hope is that since I only took mis-targeted Ad Sense ads off that my Ad Sense income will stay the same and I'll get some extra money from the better targeted Ad Sonar ads. You'd think it would work out that way but only time will tell.
