Tribal Fusion Banner ads and Adsense

I have noticed a few sites running tribal fusion banner ads (without adsense from tribal fusion) with normal google adsense ads. I am curious if that is allowed. I know tribal fusion adsense ads with normal google adsense ads are not allowed, but are regular tribal fusion ads ok?

Thanks

I would imagine it is OK. You can run banner ads with adsense and that is what is basically happening there.

The bigger question is why even bother about it!

I, for one, bother because I can have AdSense as a Skyscraper on the side, and the banner from TribalFusion on top of the page. TF revenue for me is about 1/3 of AdSense's revenue, and I can tell you it's a good cheque from TF every month.

The adsense policies listing says this "Competitive Ads
We do not permit AdWords ads to be published on web pages that also contain what could be considered competing ads. This would include all content-targeted ads as well as text-based ads. Text-based ads, for this situation, can be loosely defined as ads that mimic AdWords ads or appear to be associated with AdWords ads on your site. We do allow affiliate or limited-text links.
"

I was curious if that means no tribal fusion.

Yes, it is fine, as long as you ensure you are not showing AdSense through TribalFusion as well.

AdSenseAdvisor posted the following [webmasterworld.com] a few months ago:

... you're welcome to use ad networks on the same pages as your adsense ad code.
As was suggested by europeforvisitors, make sure to specify that Google ads not be rotated into the banners served by your ad network. Otherwise, you may end up double-serving the AdWords ads, which is against the program policies.

I've blocked all AdSense like ads on TF, and it's fine.

Thank you all very much, I wish they would phrase things a bit more specifically in the policies guidelines there.
