Lets just down a quick and dirty survey of everyone.

If you adsense is up, post "UP"
If you adsense hasnt changed "SAME"
If you adsense is down, post "DOWN"

Ok?

DOWN

EFV, either chill out or show me where I made any "slanderous allegation".

I am not anti-Google in any way, but it seems likely to me that they reduced payouts to publishers during the recent change.

I never accused them of lying to anyone; however now that you mention it they did make the following statement in the email I received:

A few publishers will see a decline in revenues

LOL. At the very least, you have to wonder how many "a few" is.

Haven't noticed a major change one way or another. I've had some below average days and some above average days, but nothing out of the ordinary. My Adwords campaign has also not gone up or down much. I guess I should consider myself lucky based on what I'm reading from others.

Haven't replied to this thread yet.

50% down currently.

And it's not like I was earning a Big Mac before and can now only afford a Quarter Pounder... this is a significant monitary drop for me, and the past week has been stressful watching things go steadily downhill.

Overall I'm seeing far more downs than ups... but I am seeing them...

Ok, I understand the losers complain more than the winners... but if it was a 0 sum game (every dollar lost my one pub is gained by another) then I would expect a higher portion of posts saying:

"Revenue up 50%!" or something of the like.

I see a ton of 30-50% down... a large amount of "the same" and a tiny amount of "UP"...

So basically I currently have the opinion that it isnt the publishers who are gaining in this deal... Think its the advertisiers?

Down. Way down. Especially today - noticed a LOT of totally untargeted ads running on pages that used to have very good targeting matches. CTR and ECPC both way down.

EFV, you note that the lack of forum posts in the adwords section is proof that they are benefitting from a decrease in cost.

However, how do we even know they are aware of the changes? All the posts I've seen from people who are aware of them note that there's been no change at all. So maybe it's just a lack of knowledge on their part - not any gained benefit.

I have a sinking feeling google's not informing the advertisers and/or implementing changes on their end until it's positive this new change is succesful.

Today I've actually seen my EPC go up. I'm not holding my breath as it could be a whole 'nother story tomorrow.

Finding that our revenue movements are inversely proportional to the time spent looking at the up and down threads. ;-)

I decided to do a test today, and the results have been quite interesting... more once stats are finalized.

Down

So I'm supposed to read 8 pages of UP and DOWN to get my result?

I suspect that the lack of noise in the adwords forum may simply be due to not may advertisers tracking the difference between content and search ads. For most people content ads are still a small percentage of overall spend so most will not see any significant changes.

Posting again...after a few days of being way down, the last few days CTR has been up slightly but earnings almost doubled compared to a 6 month average!

At this point, my April EPC appears to be down about 15% from March, and CTR is down about 12% for the month (but has been down more than that since the 4th). AdSense was my #1 revenue source in March but is likely to be only #3 in April.

To update:

Last week, down dramatically all over the board.

This week, nearly back up to March levels (best month ever).

So far, the April Average is only 10% less than the March one - whereas last week it looked to be 50% drop or more...
