On Friday my ctr hit a bewildering XX%. Do you suppose someone is try to get me banned? When should I be expecting the dreaded google e-mail?

I recently added the adsense code to a new domain with very little traffic. CTR was at an average of X%, then on Friday it hit XX%. Fifteen times higher than average. Obviously, a click happy person must have clicked on every link.

Having double digit CTR on an account with only a few hundred pageviews, and normally a single digit CTR might not be much of a problem. On a big account, I would be a bit worried as it could not be explained away with one or two users "going to town on your ads".

Good thing in my case is that if I ever noticed such a thing, I could go to the tracking and see if there was one single ip responsible.

This new domain is only getting under 100 page hits a day. If this wasn't the works of an ill intended person, then it must have been someone who was very interested in the ads that they kept flipping back to the site to check out different offers.

You should consider using one of the tracking tools - then you would have much more information to work with and would be guessing much less.

Which tracking tool would you recommend?

Thanks
