Blogs and ad quality

I run a Movable Type blog-style Website and notice that my ad quality is static and seldom related to the post of the day. When I bring up just the entry of the day, the quality relates to the topic.
But for the main page itself, the ads seldom seem to reflect what the lead or most current post is about.
I wonder if other blog-type sites have noticed this and what, if anything, they have done to get the ad quality to be reflective of the topic under discussion in the most current post.

Pages might only be spidered once a month or so. They are not respidered with every access. This is why personal pages / blogs must get permission from AdSense first. AdSense is not really meant for URLs where the content is ever-changing, because the ads will not very often be relevant to the content.
