Is it allowed?

Simple question.

Sorry if this is obvious to you but I do not find the answer in the program policies (my mother tongue is not english and I do not work in the "legal" business).

Sorry also if this has been asked 1,000 times. I have read a lot of info here but not that one...

Is it allowed to have two Google AdSense ads on the same page (I am thinking a Skycraper on the right and a Button in the middle of an article).

Thanks!

My understanding is you may only show one advert page page.

Mack.

Hi, that is not allowed. Some premium partners have Google's approval to run multiple ads but for you and me it's against the TOS.

No, it is not currently permitted. It was added into the Terms for a new feature for regular publishers that will be launched, probably within the next few months.

That sounds interesting. Could you shed any more light on it, Jenstar?

"Multiple ad units may be displayed on each Web site page, but no ad unit shall contain any advertisement in common with any other ad unit."

If it's not permitted, could you translate the above statement for me? I don't get it....

Since the second part is currently impossible to do, the first part cannot be done without violating the tos.

The statement above from the TOS makes no sense and the only clarity you can get is direct from Google (as we did) when they specifically said you could only have one instance of code on a page - definite.

The TOS are confusing, but it appears that they have been altered for something in the future (ie. in some way being able to control the appearance of duplicate adverts) unfortunately confusing a lot of people in the present.

If you've got an email from Google you've got it in 'black and white'. Best not to try to interpret or second-guess TOS imho. We are now going to get everything clarified direct with the Adsense team, as we feel we will not be able to rely on the TOS to be clear and don't want to accidentally cross some TOS line that we had 'mis-read'.

Hey, this could make a good basis for a multiple choice question for an exam in English Comprehension.
