hey guys,

i'm very aware that adsense is not allowed on popups/popunders.
targetted traffic advertisers place peoples pages in a fullscreen popunder, the supplier is of the opinion that seeing as the popunder is fullscreen it would be allowed by google.
I don't think it would and would like some opinions about it, i'm planning on sending targetted traffic to a client's site that has adnsense on it, but i won't if it will cause a problem.

cheers

I would be very concerned about adsense in a pop under.

My opinion: The supplier is wrong. I would get a confirmation from Google before doing anything like that. The TOS has a provision against putting the code in popups.

I am now confused. I swear I had read the TOS and there was mention of pops being prohibited. Now I go to check it and I can't find it.

It's in 'Program Policies', near the bottom of the page under 'Site Content'.

If only the AdWords advertisers adhered to that... I blocked one that I went to check out and found all sorts of pop-ups happening. It totally locked up my browser. I won't knowingly subject my website visitors to that abuse.

Thanks icedowl, I see that. But I still think that there used to be something that said that the actual code could not be placed in a page that was itself a pop. I would have to check the original TOS.

Well, it is not technically against anything in the TOS/policies/FAQ, but if it was my site, I would remove AdSense, at least from the first page that pops up (and leave it on all interior pages). But with some of the quality control aspects of the TOS, the AdSense Team will likely have a major problem with this being done, so clear it past them first.
