Screenshot of four different PSAs [jenstar.ca]

I saw it via FastClick in a leaderboard (728 wide) ad unit. Interestingly, the "Ads by Google" was not a link. The colors/style seem to be a standard default, because it was not the same ad colors and styles that were used on the same page when targeted ads appeared.

I can only imagine what some companies would be willing to pay to see their entire ad in large font across a single leaderboard unit. It was quite noticeable and jumped right out at me, even though it was a single color with a white background.

They look kind of nice, but the look micht clash with the site layout. What is a PSA anyway? ;)

Guys: set up your own alternate ads. You can even set a charity if you want. There are a bunch who accept online donations and have some nice media that you can use to link. I know... I link to one from my homepage </hint>

Yeah, gotta do alternative ads!
PSA: Public Service Announcements. (We're running these ads at no cost because we thing their message important. But, if someone gives us money for this space, THAT message will be more important.)

I've just seen one of these in a 120x600 skyscraper. I wonder if they'll ever provide that as an option for pay-ads when there's only one ad for the slot?
