Can't regain earnings

Made a change to daily limit

At the beginning of February, I lowered my Adwords daily limits by half, just to see how much Adsense traffic would drop. Earnings dropped by 2/3rds. So on Feb 10, I raised my daily limits back to where it was, but my earnings have not recovered. My page impressions are back to January levels and the CTR rate is the same, as well. The only other change I made was to add meta descriptions to my pages.

Any ideas why my earnings won't recover?

Tnx, Peter

My guess are that the two things are not perfectly correlated. That is, your decrease in Google paid traffic by 50% did not cause by itself the decrease in adsense revenue. After all, what % of your total traffic was paid Google traffic?

Also check to see if the CTR decreased during that period. I think that you probably got "targeted out" from the best paying ad or ads.

Just an FYI, Yahoo dropped google so if your not in the new Yahoo index that could count for your loss in traffic and revenue.

With almost all of February in, I'm actually averaging better CTR than January. Yet my earnings are still down by half. Does it make sense to delete my ad groups and resubmit them? Would that get me back in front of my high-paying ads? Or is that against the rules?
