Out with the old & in with the new case study

A new AdSense publisher success story

Last month, we had a discussion [webmasterworld.com] that the case studies definitely need to be updated with new publishers, while some needed to be reviewed.

With the terms, policies and FAQ being changed on Thursday, AdSense has done some housecleaning to their case study success section.

Infoplease has been removed as an AdSense case study. In it's place is RealAdventures:
[google.com...]

Like PetPlace.com (the last one added as a case study before RealAdventures}, this site has also made the background and border seamless with the background of the site.

hmm for a featured site, it surely isn't formatted that well. The size of the ad they use really messes up the page unless your running your browser full screen of which i hardly ever do.

BUT an interesting read. I'll have ot mess with going to the white background.

Ummm...google better have a look at this one. Hit a Canadian province...got ads for Hawaii. Have to think this kind of stretches the targeting:)

Sure they aren't just subtly saying "Are you sure you REALLY want to go to Ontario?"

I'm set at 1024x768 and almost have to have the window filling the screen to see the ad. Regardless, formatting like this gets under my skin - hate horizontal scrolling. I remember when they used to say every site should be set up for 640x480. What's the deal with that now, anyway? ;)

I wonder if having your site as a " Adsense case studie" you see a large rise in your CTR?

If you look at a screenshot at Alexa it shows he used to have a yellow border and the ads were under his top menu bar. He must have made these changes recently.
