The report updating has been slower than usual lately, and it occasionally seems that clicks and revenues update more slowly than impressions do. I usually take the numbers with a grain of salt until late evening, when the reporting becomes more accurate and complete.

AdSense is acting generally screwy today for me...reports not updating, ads are often not serving properly - instead just showing a blank space, and my "remember my password" feature for reports has been disabled.

I hope they are working on interesting changes...like direct deposit!

"remember my password" feature?

sorry, that's not an adsense feature. it's a safari (mac browser) feature. the point is that it looks like my cookie was reset, meaning something may be afoot.

Are alot of others having trouble with adsense today? Adsense has not updated for atleast 8 hours now for me.

Well, the numbers just caught up with reality (as they usually do by evening), with impressions being at a normal level and CTR/revenues being back to normal after looking unusually low earlier in the day. This seems to be the pattern lately. Still, I see the same thing with some of my affiliate vendors: Their numbers often look stagnant for a few hours, and then a number of bookings show up at once.

It's all my fault! AdSense is overloaded with /.

:) Not really, but today my site was on Slashdot (again!) and I had the best ever page served number so far. Then I checked AdSense and noticed that the stats are not updated (the lag for me is currently around 8 hours or so)...

I want to know the results of this 150% raise in impressions :(

FWIW I noticed it lags for me on high-traffic days. Generally a good thing since when it does update my revenue jumps :)

I also haven't seen an update since morning -- the odd thing is, my impressions are way down but my clickthroughs are normal.

Is it possible they are updating clickthroughs but not impressions, or am I just having a lucky day?

Adsense is updated at last, though my impressions seem well down, at least for the moment

Updated here too. Although CTR is lower as it happens when I have a /.

I think the reason is because the readers are not in "look for" mode, but reading only - although the higher # of impressions compensate for the lower CTR.

I still have doubts about yesterday's (2/10) impression numbers. They don't seem to correlate with my traffic stats. Clickthroughs seem reasonable but CTR seems high as well, which it would if impressions were lower than the actual number.

In my case, I think feb/10 stats shows only 75% of actual traffic. I hope to see the other 25% in the next 24 h.

god, I hope they are going to update. I made half what I normally do yesterday. Impressions seem OK, but click-thru rates is very low.

Thank you all...My "everything" clicks, impressions & commissions were all way down today.. Glad to hear it could just be a lag! I come here for confirmation!

Edit - I can't stand re-reading my post with so many typos :)

I am hoping that today's lagging stats are due to reporting issues and not the performance of my sites.

Our conversion % is the same it's been for months, but our EPC is down as low as 8 cents today while it was runing like 3 to 4 times that for several months. It's all in the past few days. I get the feeling that they are selling the ads much cheaper now or else we are seeing a bunch more PSAs and they are just not selling out their inventory for our sites. Is anyone else getting really low EPCs now?

I get the feeling that they are selling the ads much cheaper now...

AdWords/AdSense ad rates are determined by bid, so it isn't a question of what Google's selling them for--it's a matter of what advertisers are offering.

... or else we are seeing a bunch more PSAs and they are just not selling out their inventory for our sites.

Could be. I'm seeing the opposite phenomenon right now (EPC, effective CPM, and total revenues going up), but every site is a unique combination of keywords, seasonal factors, etc., that can add up differently at any given point in time.

I'm seeing a huge breakdown in the adsense targetting system on my site. I get what appear to be random ads. Sometimes adsense seems to be unable to serve ads. PSA's show sometimes but when i click refresh i get paying ads.

OK; the behavior of my stats was weird on Feb/10, but 24 h latter it returns to normality and with a better EPC.
My humble recommendation: Dedicate less energy to the understanding of the data variations in the short term and invest more time in the content and its quality.
Here has been said; evaluate the model on the basis of weekly or monthly periods.

My stats are all showing up like normal for today. I did not have any problems when others reported the no data problem a few days ago, either.

my states are about 15 hours delayed right now, my site did 180,000 pageviews yesterday so maybe its a volume thing.
