Anyone know if this would either violate TOS, or be seen as click fraud? -

If a company makes and sells computers, could you set the default homepage of the browser to a website with a google search box on it and firefox/picasa referal links? Having thousands of customers with their browser set to show your page seems like a good fit. I would not want to put link ads up, as it's not a content page, but would a search box and referal program be acceptable?

my thoughts are that I can't understand what the heck you're talking about... who's browser? which browser?

Having thousands of customers with their browser set to show

How are you going to accomplish this? You have control over that many browsers?

Dell do much the same thing with their very annoying "page not found" page. They call it something like "my search assistant" and I'm sure it has adsense on it. I'm guessing they must have had a special agreement with Google to be able to do something so underhand.

For a computer shop selling computers making a page with an adsearch box as the default home page? Equally underhand. But worth asking Adsense support to see if they would allow it. If they are daft enough to allow that sort of thing there is no reason why you should worry about morals.

Actually I noticed recently that my mother had made the home page of one of my websites as her default home page. I've removed adsense from that page.
