i signed up for some affiliate marketing, hoping to take up some of the slack from ypn and adsense.
i've been seeing too many advertisers complaining about how advertising on the content side of the fence with adwords is a ripoff, so they stopped doing it... they put their adwords money on search instead?
there has also been a decline in keyword prices over the last few months, so the writing is on the wall... publishers need to diversify to protect themselves.
LastMinute.com is predicting that "the travel market will be up 60 to 70% once England are out of the World Cup," according to an e-mail that I received today. That percentage sounds high to me, but I have no doubt that the World Cup has had an effect on European and especially on British Web browsing and travel booking.

Bad SERP, Bad Traffic and Bad CPC...What is next?
Seemed to get pretty strong about a week ago, but then the last three days have been miserable.
I agree with the consensus, we should see a rise when advertiser's budgets increase.
However... depending on your niche, your CPC may not increase until the summer is over. One of our niche's CPC is always low between now and labor day.
On the other hand, the low CPC could be an effect of not getting outside enough during the summer.
